“Lucifer 2 Empuraan Controversy: Fake Reviews Targeting Master Film – Why So Much Hate?”

L2: Empuraan, presented by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is made on a grand scale, greater than expectations in terms of elegance and execution. The biggest highlights of the film are its stunning visual appeal, large-scale action sequences and Mohanlal’s strong screen presence.

Mohanlal once again delivers a outstanding performance. His quiet yet impressive acting and short yet impactful dialogue delivery will be loved by his fans. His character is brilliant, and the fight scene in the jungle in second half is a special highlight.

Manju Warrier impresses with her performance and stands out among the supporting cast. Tovino Thomas, on the other hand, has done well in his role but lacks decisive moments in his character. Prithviraj Sukumaran has limited screen time but he is outstanding in his role.

A Power-Packed First Half

The film opens with a horrific mass murder that takes place in 2002, immediately establishing a dark and intense atmosphere. As the story shifts to the present, Jathin Ramadoss (Tovino Thomas), now the Chief Minister of Kerala, resigns from his party IUF.

But why does he resign? Who is Bajrangi, and what is his role in this political game? The tension builds as we begin to question whether Jathin is really a hero or a clever manipulator.

Meanwhile, Stephen Nedumpally ‘s second avatar, Khureshi Ab’Ram, emerges as a global force with deep connections in the underworld. However, a well-planned attack by a powerful rival brings the film to a tremendous interval block. Mohanlal’s screen presence in this part is nothing less than a blast.

A Stronger and More Intense Second Half

While the first half sets up the international interest, the second half shifts the focus back to Kerala. The struggle for leadership of the IUF become more intense —will Stephen return to save “God’s Own Country”?

Zayed Masood (Prithviraj Sukumaran) is dealing with personal conflicts and dark secrets from his past. Will he seek revenge on Balraj? Who is Balraj? What is his connection to Masood’s past?

How will Stephen help Zayed in his battle? And will Jathin be able to reclaim his father’s legacy? These questions drive the thrilling second half of the film.

The second half is even more intense than the first, with a perfect blend of political drama and high-stakes action. Each twist adds depth to the story, making it impossible to look away.

Storyline

Empuraan tells the tale of two orphans, Ab’Ram Qureshi and Zayed Masood (Prithviraj Sukumaran), who have to face the cruel world that took away their families. The relationship between these two men— a ‘crime leader’ and his ‘trusted Partner’—is the emotional center of the film.

Kerala Chief Minister Jathin Ramdas (Tovino Thomas) decides to separate from his party and form a new party and shake hands with Baba Bajrangi (Abhimanyu Singh), also known as Balraj. His sister, Priyadarshini Ramdas (Manju Warrier), strongly opposed the decision.

Meanwhile, Khranshi Ab’ra Ram, also known as Stephen Nedumpalli (Mohanlal), returns to improve the situation. But his problems are not only that, but they are also entangled in global affairs and are also stuck in conflict with drug cartel khabooga.

How does Stephen’s return affect Kerala politics? What is enmity with his Balraj? What is Balraj related to Zayed Masood (Prithviraj Sukumaran)? All these questions are answered in the film.

The majority of the second hour of the movie focuses on Zayed Masood’s retaliation and his traumatic past, which made him the stoic, ruthless kill machine ready to defend Ab’raam Khureshi against any danger.

A Well-Crafted Sequel

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s direction is commendable, maintaining a perfect balance between fan service and a strong story. While Lucifer was completely rooted in Kerala politics, L2: Empuraan expands its scope, making it more impactful for a pan-India audience. Every frame is carefully planned, reflecting Prithviraj’s masterful storytelling skills.
